Travelled to Denver on vacation and stayed with a relative at baker tower around 7/15/09. First night I was there I woke around 2:00 am with sever itching all over my back (I was sleeping on the floor) It was so itchy I thought I was having an allergic reaction! I confirmed they were bed bug bites the next day with a pharmacist, and I was scared to spend the next night there. I ended up sleeping on the tile, uncomfortable as it was, did not get bit. I am assuming they where living in the carpet.
Relative told landlord, she said it was allergies, but having been bitten before I am 100% confident it was bedbugs. I would not lease an apartment there. Apartment was on the 7th floor.
When I travel, If bitten I take benadryl (eases the itching/swelling) and apply cortisone cream to the wound. This has worked pretty well when bitten. As usual, wash clothes in warm water and dont take them with you. I hate bed bugs!

Moved to to Denver for Univ. of col in jan 2010. First location was w14th and kalamath by college. July was first encounter of Bed-bugs. Told land-lord, she made me move after argument about who was liable. Washed every thing, throw a lot of stuff away. Moved to e12th and Washington. After 2 weeks started getting bit there too. Sprayed, fogged, everything I could think of. Figured out they was in the building in other apts and every time I would spray, they would wait until it wore off then come
right back. They became immune to the spray. Now I sleep with "OFF" %25 deet and they still bite through that. This is the worst sistuation I have ever encountered in my life. They rule my life now. Even when I am in class, I feel their bites and feel as if they are still crawling on me. They do not wait on me to go to bed to attack me, they jump on me as soon as I walk into my apt. My apt is saturated with Bed-bug spray, yet they still come. I am desperate, I spray my sheets with bedbug spray, yet they still come. I threw my mattress away and got an air-mattress for easier manageability. They do not live on my mattress, I spray it every day and deflate it. I cannot see them but I feel their pricks all day everyday. I am trying so hard to finish this semester with out returning home in defeat to bedbugs. I am from Steamboat springs and never encountered them there. I have 5 weeks left in this semester and have exhausted a lot of money in fighting these bed-bugs. I have one more semester left before graduation, but I am sure I will have to move again before I begin it or I will not make it. This is Pschological war-fare at its best. It has left the most horrible taste in my mouth for the city of Denver. Worst experience ever! They make you feel so dirty, I take at least 3 baths a day to get them off me. The stress factor is unbelieveable. My grades are down due to the over whelming stress from bedbugs. They dominate ever area of your life!!!!
