Cannot determine how the bugs got in as we have not traveled, but do use public transportation. Additionally I suspect the source could be coming from an apt below as that tenant has not been home in quite some time, and is a very frequent traveler.
The next day we dried all of the fabrics in the bedroom on high for over an hour and put them back into clean trash bags. Additionally, we bagged the bed with an approved mattress and boxspring protector. Vaccuumed the floor extremely thoroughly under and around the bed.
Exterminator arrived today to assess the situation and will begin treatment of our apartment on Monday. (at least 2 treatments 2 weeks apart)
