uishing the bugs or from bites that haven't coagulated. We read that spraying rubbing alcohol will kill them on site. We've done this on the immediate viable area and it does work.
For the last couple months we've been experiencing very itchy, red, bump on our arms, shoulders & upper backs (and a few in our scalps). The thought that they could be from bedbugs didn't occur to us. The condition has continually gotten worse and we thought we had xerosis (extreme dry skin) being exacerbated by the extremely hard water at our apartment. We live in a basement unit, so the occasional bug is to be expected.
We lived in the apartment for over 6 months without incident. Shortly after some new tenants moved in we started having the itchy bumps (which we thought was some sort of allergic reaction).
The building is a house that has been converted into 7 apartments. We plan to inform our landlord and try some things in the meantime. Diatomaceous earth a.k.a silicon dioxide has been recommended on several sites.
