I've lived here since 12/1/11, and before I moved here, I'd never had bedbugs. As soon as I moved in, I started getting bites, and thought they were spider bites. Then they started showing up in threes, and I looked online and found out that's what bedbugs do. I immediately told the maintenance guy who lives here, and he told me I must have brought them in here, because there weren't any before (obviously false, according to this website). He bombed the place twice, which didn't do a thing, and

just gave me a can of spray poison, which doesnt do much either. I've just accepted the fact that I have to live with them, and it's an utter nightmare. I can't afford to heat treat the place, and I can't afford to move out. DO NOT MOVE HERE! You WILL get bedbugs, and you will NOT get any help from building management to get rid of them. What a disaster...

Hey guys I'm back on here again.
So I wanted to give an update on the bedbug situation here. I moved in June 2011 and there was bed bugs. But the owner and manager worked with me and together we attacked the suckers. The owner and manager were very nice and helped me as the sprayed, bombed, but covers on my own bed mattress and box-spring. I vacuumed twice daily and the suckers have been gone from my apartment for many months. I have not been bitten in so long I forgot that

it even happened. I can't take back what I posted before... But I will tell you now the problem is gone. The owner and manager are very nice people and the building is always clean and quiet. Super nice area to live.

Owner has no concept of pest control.

Maintenance bombed my apt 3 times - it had NO effect.
Though the management graciously offered to sell me more 'over the counter' bug bombs for 5$ each. (the same kind at home depot cost 5$ for a pack of 3 !)

I also spent hundreds of dollars treating my apartment myself; steaming, spraying, cleaning, treating, etc... - with NO effect.

The building is entirely infested, I found many active adult bed bugs roaming freely, even during day time!!

Ev

en though I was payed up 2 months in advanced, the landlord threatened to evict me as a result of my complaints.

After days of dispute the landlord agreed to give me some of my rent back and a partial refund on my deposit - I was desperate for sleep, took the offer and began moving out.

I had to throw out all my kitchen items, (food, dishes, pots, etc) my office items, (desk, chair, equipment, etc) my electronic items (radio, fans, air filter, etc) misc. other items (ironing board, iron, plants, etc) - several hundred dollars worth of stuff in the trash!!!

I took all my clothes to the cleaners and moved out!

here is the kicker - as i was moving out, the property manager was digging through the trash taking things back into the building to furnish other apartments!!!!!

I lost a couple thousand dollars in that bed bug infested nightmare - but I learned a valuable lesson. I now live in a clean, modern condo, my rent now is only 100$ more than that slum at 1060 Logan was charging!!

Tell your friends - tell your family - tell your classmates, 1060 Logan St is not worth it !!!

It should be condemned -
The landlord refuses to take responsibility for the infestation.
The landlord refuses to have it professionally treated.
The landlord continues to use over the counter bug bombs that do not work, and reuse infested items!

In speaking with other tenants after I moved in, 80% have a problem. It took a week for the super to get bombs to fumigate my apartment, which barely had any effect on the pests. Since then I have been staying with my girlfriend most nights just to avoid the problem, and now her place is infested. After they have their new duplex treated, I won't be allowed over until I move into a new apartment that is clean. I've gone through multiple sets of sheets and cleansing methods and nothing works.

This place is packed to the gills with these damn pests. I'm over it, and I'm moving out!

I moved in and they never told me there were bed bugs, now I live here and I'm being eatin alive! I get my son on weekends and he got bit up real bad too and now I can't have my son until the bed bugs are gone, The problem is that so many units have the bed bugs and the land lord and maintenance spray and bomb but they don't go away. I don't know what to do.

This building has multiple apartments reporting bed bugs. Management does not do a proper or timely job of dealing with them. The problem began in June of \'09 and likely persists. Long term tenants have said that in years past, bed bugs were a problem.
