I have had my unit sprayed on 2 different times since living here, my neighbors moved out due to the issue months ago already. (sprayed once in december and again in April) Mad Mom's posting is in response to my good neighbor of 7 months, she finally just up n left. I have made complaints about bites recently, nothing serious, but I was getting one or two a night. They came over, inspected my bed and didn't find anything. Had pest control come and look, didn't find anything, but SOMETHING was bi
ting me. If it wasn't that, I could only presume my dog had flees n thats what had been biting me since he sleeps with me. One night I found a tiny lil bug running around my bed, I thought oh it is a flee, but I woke up out of a dead sleep at 4 AM, I had not been bitten, but thought it was odd that I woke up. I kind of felt something on my leg, so I quickly brushed my leg, but then thought it was my dog maybe, but paranoia made me get up and look. I was about to crawl back into bed and before I did, thought to double check the comforter, sure enough, there he was a big adult bed bug running around on it. So I saved it in a pill bottle. i am still waiting for management to get back to me, I am also about to move in less then a week and don't want to take the buggers with me! I am also aware now that the tiny bug the other night means there are baby bed bugs currently running around too which means eggs have been laid :( I am very displeased that after numerous complaints, and explaining my concerns about moving with them that I may not now be able to have pest control spray in time before my lease is up. Its not until I have living proof that I am finally taken seriously, This is my 3rd time getting them here, so glad to be moving and I am so over this. I love my apartment managers I really do and its not there fault that this keeps happening. But it is an issue throughout the building that needs to be addressed by the owner by means of bombing the whole place or heat treating. They just move to another apartment each time a place is sprayed and become more resistant to the propellent. Oh and I have throw out many of belongings: furniture, anything wooden, my comforter and then buy a plastic encasing for my mattress, because i bought it last year with my own $ and I am not about to throw it out. Mind you I am a hardworking college student, so buying new things/moving and living expenses is leaving screwed.

My daughter moved into this building 6 months ago. I bought her all new furniture when she reached denver. There were and never have been bedbugs in our home. She did NOT bring them and had never had them before. Nobody told her the last tenants moved due to a bedbug infestation.
She has lived there 6 months. The building had a second rate pest control company spray once. The building managment charges a 1200- early termination fee and keeps your deposit if you break the lease. We desperately
want her out of there. I am concerned about her credit and legal isssues. She thinks the managemnt will sue her if she does not pay the eary termination fee which she does not have. As it is we will have to replace all of her furniture and come up with new deposit $.
