In August, 2009, discovered the boxspring in main bedroom was infested. Multiple bites and some sightings of adult bugs, numerous nymph stage bugs. Disposed of both boxspring and mattress, closed off room. Called health department, who confirmed that infestation was bedbugs. Both a Vector Control agent specializing in bedbugs and a biologist from the county were present and confirmed infestation. Landlord hired California Exterminating Service, based in Alamo, CA, to do a series of 3 sprayings,
done 2 weeks apart, for the infected apartment only (Apartment #3). As of 9/12, 2 sprayings have been done. After first spraying, bedbugs returned. All rugs, sofa, bedding, etc. disposed of before spraying. Unable to report whether spraying is effective yet.
