Hello everyone. I noticed that I had two or three bug bites (orginally mistaken for mosquito/spider bites) on Thursday 7/15. Woke up the following morning with more bites on my arm, went that night to the hardware store to buy indoor insect killer/repellant, sprayed and cleaned, and made sure to spray again, only to wake up the next morning with another bite. For the following week and a half the bites had become less in number (1 or 2), but happening every night nonetheless (mostly on my hands
and a few on my lower back). I had been cleaning my apartment everyday in search of the culprit, vacuuming every other day without results, then I decided to look up bug bites online and began to suspect bed bugs, eventhough I had not actually spotted one...until last night (7/27). It was only one (1) and luckily I was able to put it in a ziplock bag and identify it online as an adult bed bug.
I informed the building manager this morning, and apparantly the tenants next door have been having "a problem" with Bed Bugs and are scheduled for treatment next week. I suspect their unit might be the originating area because she also mentioned that the neighbor on the other side of this unit is also scheduled for treatment. She is trying to arrange to have my unit taken care of at the same time as the others.
I should also mention that eventhough I've been bit for the past (almost) two weeks, my roomate has yet to find one in their room, and has not been bitten (from what we could tell).
