I have a friend who resides in this building which is used for women who are trying to get their lives back together. She has been bitten from head to toe by BEDBUGS. These BEDBUGS have been brought into her apartment by "new plastic covered" mattress which the tenant has had to purchase every time these nattresses are replaced. This is very difficult for the tenant because of being on GR -- in fact, she is in a program which has been supplying these BEDBUG infested mattresses at least for th
e past year. Not only has my friend been bitten from head to toe -- but also her 10 year old son now wakes up at night from being bitten.
When she went to the management, she was threatened with losing her housing. Is there anything that can be done about the problem -- outside of have an exterminator come in once in a while to spray for the problem. There are other apartments in this building with the same problem, but hers is the apartment that I am most concerned about. She graduated from the program last October -- and has been waiting for her Section 8 to come through since then.
