Not sure where they came from but my apartment has bed bugs and judging by the large amount of mattresses I've seen thrown out recently I'm guessing that our apartment isn't the only one that has an infestation.

some dirty kid brought in a mattress off the street and then never washed his clothes. He ended up spreading them to every apartment in the building that he entered. Extremely horrible infestation, I had exterminators come 3 times and still had them.
