We love this Apartment building as one of the best kept in the area after living here for 5 Years. . We have lived in 2 other Apartment Buildings where the management did not care about the buildings, but Dunia is the best of the best managers and makes sure this building looks fantastic and that any bugs, leaks or problems are handled within 24hrs. We only knew one person with bugs and that was the person who picks up garbage around the area, brought it into her apartment and now she no longer

lives here. We find this place to be the best priced, with the best decorated high end apartments, plenty of parking and NHollywood Normandie reminds us of Hollywood in the 1920's - (very unique) and the views are fantastic. No BUGS at this BUILDING!

I MOVED INTO THIS APARTMENT BUILDING OVER 2 YEARS AGO AND THE NEW OWNERS ARE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT ANY BUGS, BUT I FOUND THAT THE PEOPLE WHO HAD A PROBLEM ACTUALLY BROUGHT IN A MATTRESS THAT WAS LAYING IN THE STREET FOR OVER A WEEK. THE OWNERS HAVE A SERVICE THAT COMES EVERY MONTH TO ERADICATE ANY BUGS AND THEY HAVE NOW REPLACED ALL CARPETS THAT COULD HAVE ANY BUGS WITH NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS AND TILE FLOORS IN THE HALLWAYS, MAKING THIS ONE OF THE BEST ORIGINAL HISTORIC 1920'S BUILDING IN HOLLYWOOD

, LOS FELIZ AREA THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. WHERE ELSE CAN YOU LIVE WITH SUCH A CARING MANAGER AND TERRIFIC VIEWS OF THE "HOLLYWOOD SIGN" - I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY BUGS AND LOVE THIS PLACE!

I am currently waiting for pest control to arrive to treat my apartment. I moved in almost 3 months ago and started getting bitten last week. Once the bites started I realized that the "ticks" I found a month ago were actually bed bugs. (I found two, two weeks apart, and yes, I thought they were ticks.) I reported it to management and started asking neighbors. It sounds like the building is infested and has been for some time (years!). It sounds like the apartments are being treated individual

ly, but in a building this large (5 floors, ~11 units per floor), I feel like something needs to happen on a grander scale. Management insinuated that they would be taking steps to deal with this building-wide, but nothing definitive was said. My optimistic and naive hope is that they do. Until then, I will be afraid to sleep in my bed.

Four years ago (2007) my husband and I moved in this apartment building. It took a few months before we both had rashes and thought we had food allergies. One night I found an interesting bug I had never seen before, googled photos of bugs and bed bugs came up. The article I read said to lift up the mattress, and sure enough, there were TONS of them!!! I was horrified!!! We left that night and never stayed there again. The management was horrible - they made it sound as if it was OUR fault we ha

d the bugs when in fact, the entire 4th-5th floors were infested!!! I knocked on the other neighbors doors and the neighbors across from us said they had had the bugs for at LEAST A YEAR (but I think they were illegals so they didn't want to report the bugs) and the woman who lived next door to us had them for almost a year as well. The management came by and sprayed with a can of spray and made it sound as if we were making a big deal about nothing. I was infuriated.

They didn't want to let us out of our lease but I threatened to report them (I still wanted to - I just wasn't aware how and I didn't know of a site like this one back then) but eventually after staying in motels for almost two weeks we were able to find another apartment. We literally had to get rid of everything we owned and started over. It was the most horrifying thing - made worse by the way the management treated us. They KNEW about the bug and they never even warned people!!! The woman next door to us complained and they did the same thing - just sprayed with a can of bug spray and the bugs would just come back. I am so grateful we were able to get out of there and I still wish I could report them because I seriously doubt they've even taken care of the bugs years later!

When I moved into the apartment, everything was fine. About 3 months later I started getting bitten and eventually found bed bugs. I notified the landlord and she has had my apartment sprayed twice after following up several times. They are still there and I'm currently trying to get out of my lease.
