Our unit had a few bedbugs. Could be from the guy across the hall that seems to be a substance abuse person. We called the pest control on our own as we wanted the problem resolved and to get the opinion of a pesticide company that represents our interests, not the owner. The $300.00 bill was well worth it. They sprayed twice, we bought a mattress enclosure and have had no problems since. You must vacuum at least twice per day to help rid the problem. We are now bug free and prefer to solve any problems on our own rather than o=involving management. Not much turnover in this building so this helps. If you are moving wrap your belongings in plastic as you do not know who rented the truck before you. Also exterminator advises that huge west end problem is people buying used stuff from local garage sales. The contaminated stuff ends up being dragged through lobbies and into new buildings. this building is more higher income so I don't think this stuff is being dragged in here. Pesticide guy also says that even the cleanest person can bring the problem to a unit (your friend visiting, sitting at starbucks etc.)

I viewed an apartment at this building May 14th. I asked if they'd had any problems with bed bugs in the building, and the lady said "no." She was proud of keeping a clean building and not letting just anyone in to live there. I didn't tell her about the bed bug report here. Needless to say, I didn't apply.

that is Cantour Properties and Norgal Investments again. they keep changing the names of the companies... you always loose your deposit with them when you leave. Taryn Brodie went to Yale University. And that somehow means that you shouldn't challenge her--she must be more intelligent and knows better. Don't complain when she walks into your apartment unannounced. She is a "higher level person", a better gene.

Begbugs on several floors. We moved to the sixth from the 2nd and nothing changed. The management does not even pick up the phone. Left to stay alive.
