I was shopping in the middle of the afternoon at this Salvation Army thrift store, as I had many times in the past. I pulled about 8 shirts off the rack and began trying them on. A few shirts into the pile I happened to look down to see a large bedbug crawling on the next shirt I was about to try on. I brought the shirt and the bug to the cashier who was mortified. She asked me to kill it and she would show it to management. When I called store management a few days later they told me that
the bug didn't come from their store - the unspoken implication being that I brought it in with me! - and that they inspect everything as it comes in and have an inspection every month. They gave me the number of the head office. I have been assured that the message will be "passed on."
