University Place Apartments located at 951 18 St. S, Birmingham, AL 35205. Bed bug infestation in apartment #696. Bed bugs were found in bed, on walls, in night stand, in desk. Tenant temporarily moved out, taking all articles out of the room, including bed. Exterminator treated empty room, which was also vacuumed well following treatment. Tenant moved back into room, bed bugs were still there; they came out at night crawling on bed and walls. The tenant temporarily moved out again. Exterm
inator treated the room a second time, perhaps a third; he said the apartment is inhabitable. Tenant will monitor apartment with dry ice (see bedbugcentral.com) before moving back in again.
