A professional pest control company was brought in to exterminate the bedbugs. After several sprayings, we can confirm that the building has been bedbug free since March 2011. They were found in furniture in two suites. The furniture has since been thrown out. This is a major problem throughout Edmonton. We take it very seriously and try to work with our tenants to make sure the building remains bedbug free. Tenants do not want them in their homes and we fully agree with them.

Received notice that spraying will take place on Monday January 24, 2011.

4 story walk-up apartment building. 6 suites received notice at end of December 2010 that spraying for bed bugs was to take place on January 12. Tenants were asked to launder linen and clothes (at $2.50 for washer and $2.50 for dryer if they chose to use the in house laundry), and to remove all items from furniture and place in center of room.

Spraying wasn't done, and now everyone in the building has received notice that there will be an inspection of all suites on January 17.
