on our bed & the wife found a couple bites. I of course snore to loud & have to sleep on the couch....lucky? No bugs in our living room anywhere. Based on what I have read these bad boys were haveing a buffet for some time, dueo to their size! But for the most part located in the one room, as she like to keep her door closed. The BEST part is we have just bought our first home & move into it at the end of July. Worried for bring them along & now have addional expandatures for replaceing beds & bedding!

Action- Immediately we reported to the office that we had found them. It was requested we bring some in to "prove" that they were bed bugs. No "proving" required after seeing them. We got a call later on saying that they will be spraying our apartment which was two days away, on the following Monday. Then later a written indication of teh visit under our door.

Treatment- That hour, I went to the local hardware store & purhcased some plastic wrap then proceded to wrap the beds as best as possible for transport to the dumpster. I do not want to be trapsing bugs all over the map. Out came the pails of water & bleach & spray bottles with rubbing alchohol. All wall edges were sprayed & given a few minutes was wiped down with bleach then sprayed again. Our dressers were turned over found some there, death came swift for the lil' red devils. Pulled all items away from the wall & then had a "crying game" shower to get the icky feeling away.

Professional- Monday came & fumigated all edges had to keep out for four hours or more. We were told he was going to be coming back for follow up spray on Friday & got the written notice under the door a few hours later. So, he shows up MONDAY, the place was still in the state from the last spray, so no panic to move things. Have to find a place for me & the cat to hang for four hours. Oh ya I have a cat.

Dilligance- Its been about two to three weeks since the discovery & every morning I check all the cracks in both bedrooms & then spray with rubbing alchohol LIBERALLY over everything. Every other day I would find one either on the base board or tucked under the night stand. The best way to see if there was activity is to check your sheets every morning & wash them every other day (detergent is expencive) & they are pretty easy to find cause they are to fat & bloated to make a run to fart after feeding. BE PERSISTANCE

All things leaving the two rooms are washed downs sprayed or laundered then moved to our new place to prevent spreading. I hope the landlord reports this properly & rips the walls down to get rid of whats behind it. I hope this will help in some way. cheers

1.Who can I call to make sure my lanlord has reported this to the proper governing body for Edmonton Alberta?
2.They say I have to pay for fumigation cause we broght them in! If I am responsible sure. After an argument she finally said the inspector didn't find any in other suits at all, how can I verify this?
