Never Again! on 10/01/2011
On September 27, 2011, my husband and I reluctantly checked into the Days Inn on Elk Street in Rock Springs, WY, room 316. Exhausted, we took the room after calling several other hotels, and found no other room was available in town.
At 2 am, I awoke with bugs crawling on my face and neck. I found reddish brown crawly bugs in the bed and on me. There was fresh blood and feces on the sheet. I was grossed out.
My husband said he had no problem until I pointed out a bug on his pillow, right n
ext to his head. Then we found more.
Afraid to go outside in the dark, and thinking that light would keep the bugs at bay, we sat huddled in bright light until dawn.
After showing the filth to the office, we got a hand written letter from the general manager stating she saw the bugs and the blood. The GM also told us she had never had a report of bed bugs in the hotel before, and then, instead of refunding our money, she told us to call their insurance agent and file a claim.
No refund to date.
No chance this will happen again.

My family and myself was traveling back home
from Iowa. We stopped in Rock Springs, WY for a a motel. I did not like the looks of the
motel but two members in my family were tired.
We saw a Days Inn at 1545 Elk Street. We
checked in for two rooms. We were given two rooms. #401 and 402. My siter and I switched
rooms and I took 401 with my husband. The room did not look clean. I was uncomfortable in it.
The bathtub did not drain well and other things
were wrong. I decided to just take a
sponge
bath. My husband finally decided to turn over in bed to go to sleep and saw a bug on his pillow. We got a porabale light and saw another
bug near the foot of the bed and then saw one my on my bed. I just said we are out of here and called the office and demanded a credit. I called my sister and daughter and told them we are out of here. Another motel in the town
said the Days Inn needs to be condemed, they
know their history. There were no more rooms
to be had in the town. This was about
midnight on May 17, 2011. We finally got a
room about 38 miles west at Little America.
