I stayed at this hotel on Jan 10th in room 314 and woke up two days later with bed bug bites all over my arms and feet. My friend that was in the room with me had bites all over from the bed she was in too!
When we called the hotel to complain, the manager confirmed that they had a history of bed bugs in that room and that she is "sorry" for what happened. They refunded our money but it does not make up for the fact I look like I have chicken pox due to these bites. They're terrible!
nkfully myself and my friend did not bring any bugs back to our homes but it goes to show that you definitely need to check the hotel reviews and check your bed before you lay your head down in any hotel. Be warned about this one though...because they are not exterminating the bugs properly, obviously!

Just to let you know, bed bugs do not climb up walls. They only climb down and are only active on people who are sleeeping. Secondly, the bug would of not came out when no one was sleeping on it, since they are a nocturnal(nighttime only) active bug. I have stayed here and have had no problems.

June 24, 2011. Booked a weekend here. Based on online reports, decided to have a look before paying. Sure enough -- BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS. Immediately got manager to come look. Made her acknowledge they were, indeed, bed bugs. She said they'd call the exterminator and have the hotel sprayed. But within 5 minutes -- BEFORE we even could find another hotel room in an almost-sold-out town, THEY RE-RENTED THE ROOM to someone else!!!

This hotel did in fact have an issue with bedbugs in room 201 in early 2009. All hotels are dealing with this issue, especially in Wisconsin Dells, a midwest vacation hotspot where people come from all over the country. There are also a large number of international guests that stay there. I was an employee of the hotel at that time so I remember being told of the problem in that room. Hotel employees are never "surprised" when a guest finds a bug as we know it could happen at any time. Sometime
s they are found by guests which is unfortunate, but with the number of cases on the rise there is not one hotel that is immune to the possibility if having this problem due to the large numbers of people traveling and staying at hotels/motels.

we have stayed at this Comfort Inn many times, a couple of times since this report was dated. Have never seen any bed bugs. Place is always very clean. Wonder if they were some other type of bug.
Comfort Inn on 01/11/2009
My mom, sister and I booked a room here January 10th to spend some quality time together and do some outlet shopping. We unpacked in room 201 and left to so some shopping for the day.
We returned after dinner arounr 8pm and played some games, soaked in the hot tub, and returned to our room to get ready for bed. It wasn't ten minutes later that my mom freaked out about a bug on the sheets. We did an online bedbug search to confirm that it was indeed a bed bug. We began to pack up, wonderi
ng what to do. We stripped the sheets but couldn't find a source, or even another bug (the first one was already squashed dead)so that the lady att he desk would believe us. As we sat down to search for a new hotel on-line (at 1am) my sister saw another one climbing up the wall. We quick put it in a baggie and finished packing our things (in record time). We loaded the car and then went to the front desk to check out. I told the lady our story. She didn't appear concerned or apologize, she didn't even seem suprised. She said we would not be charged for the room, and that was all. We left disgusted and incredibly tired. Thank God we were up late enough and didn't get eaten alive in our sleep! I will never stay at a Comfort Inn again, I guess you get what you pay for.
