I stayed at the Hampton Inn while on business travel from 11 - 14 July 2011. I got bit by bed bugs on the first night, within 15 minutes of getting into bed. Management switched me to another room and I also got bit in the second room. I ended up switching to a third room; I didn't get bit in that room, but I didn't get under the covers. I didn't switch to another hotel because I was with other people from work and was in the rental car with them. The bites were very red/swollen and hurt al

ot. The night staff was very nice about the whole incident, but the day staff (Chris) was rude. He wanted to charge me, in spite of the fact that Hampton Inn has a 100% guarantee that "If you're not satisfied, we don't expect you to pay." He said that I had to take it up with corporate. After finally talking to the manager, she did admit that Echolab did find bugs in the first room. I asked if they would replace my suitcase, which had bugs, and she said no.
