My husband and I stayed at this hotel approximately 4 weeks ago. The following day of staying there one night, I had a raised red welt on my back and it started itching within 12 hours of noticing the bite. Our house now has bed bugs - and we have never had an issue like this before. We stayed on the 3rd floor of the hotel. When I relayed my story to the exterminator, he was confident we brought bed bugs home from the hotel. We had not stayed at any other place, nor have we had house guests

that would carry them into our house. This will cost us approximately 1000 dollars - not my kind of Christmas present.

Upon my recent stay at this location, from the 28th Dec. to the 1st of Jan. 2012. in room number 335, 3rd floor. I experienced severe irritated raised itchy bumps resembling bites, all over my hands, arms, legs, bottom and feet, every night and early mornings. It made my stay most uncomfortable, I wanted to say something, ask for new sheets etc but was just so busy and thought maybe it was a response to something I ate. However I am not eating anything unusual or exotic so I know it is not thi

s. However when I arrived home this severe condition has continued to persist every night, and then my boyfriend started getting the same raised red itchy bumps resembling bites on his ankles. Our flesh feels tortured so he suggested to me and is pretty convinced that I brought back bed bugs so I did my research into bed bugs and it makes sense that this is what it is. I truly feel I should be compensated, I truly don't want to give this hotel a bad reputation but it is what it. I paid good money and so this very disappointing and unacceptable to say the least as now I am suffering as a result and this is inconveniencing me terribly. I hope you will take action soon and do what is lawful and right.

Thanks,

I stayed at this location on September 29 and 30th on the fifth floor. About 2 weeks after our visit, I have found 8 bites on my right ankle and 4 on my left. Additionally, my right knee has 3 bites and right thigh another 2. My back has an additonal 3 bites and my left hip another 2. I wasn't sure if they could be bed bug bites considering the delay in getting the sympotms (about a week or so ago). Upon reading about bed bugs on the various websites, it can take 1.5 or more weeks for symptoms t

o appear if at all. I am now worried that I have brought them home with me. I kept my luggage on the floor and change of clothing on the bed. It is Saturday but I will have a home inspecion ASAP, preferably one performed by a dog. I am beside myself

Upon arrival found possible dead bedbugs and/or eggs on mattress and padding in a room on 12th floor. Called the front desk and they immediately moved us to another room. Received a message from the front desk later in the evening stating the previous room had been checked and there were no signs of bugs. I took some photos. Not sure exactly what we found on the mattress. Black gritty poppy seed sized dots and a few brownish shells. Guess the hotel responded properly.

I stayed in room 630 on 01-14 through 01-17. I noticed an itchy welt on my arm on the 16th, then on the 17th i noticed several more. My husband pointed out two welts on his arm when we first woke up on the 17th. I have called the hotel and they say someone will call me back. I now have my luggage in the middle of the garage and do not want to bring it on the house.

oh - my 11/11 post:

i stayed in rooms 560 (week of 10/25) and 650 (week of 11/1.

i have stayed here many times over the past 6 months; more recently the weeks of 10/25 and 11/1. starting the morning of 11/4 i noticed very itchy bites and by 11/6, my arms and back were covered in them.

according to an inspector and my doctor it can take up to 1.5 weeks for bites to surface. based on this and the *very* limited infestation in my apartment, i believe i encountered bed bugs during my 10/25-10/26 stay.

Several members of our group who stayed here last week had numerous welts that were itchy. I returned home and found 2 welts. They stayed on various floors.

I picked up bed bugs at this hotel from one or more of the three times I was a the Hyatt Regency Reston. I stayed there on 06/02-04 (Room 1035), 6/16-17 (Room 1212)and 06/30-07/01 (Room 731). I spoke with the housekeeping manager sakshi who stated that would check these hotel rooms and send me a report of the inspection.

February 11 2008, fifth floor.

First bedbug encounter do didn't notice anything strange until I got home and had massive welts.

Four months later after 4 extermination treatments and calking all cracks and crevices they are gone.

Called hotel and management would not confirm or offer anything in the form of assistance.
