Night, night ,sleep tight on 07/18/2013
I had a reservation at this hotel for one night on Tues. July 16, 2013. The first indication that something wasn't right was when I approached the door of my room. I noticed a white powder substance on the on the door jam of the entrance to my room. It had been vacuumed up, but it was still noticeable that a white powder had been there. I looked at other doors adjacent to mine and saw the same powder residue. Upon entering the room, I immediately pulled back the sheets and mattress covers o

n both beds and checked the mattress seams for signs of bed bugs. Both mattresses looked new and I didn't see any signs. However, when putting the beds back together, I discovered a dead adult bed bug between the sheets. I then discovered a live adult crawling across the pillow on the other bed. I got a paper cup from the bathroom and put both bugs in it and brought it to the front desk. The person that checked me in denied knowing anything about bed bugs at the hotel although the white powder residue across the entrance to each room suggests otherwise. He didn't seem surprised when he saw the bugs in the cup and he put the cup in a zip lock bag. He offered me another room but if bugs are in one room, they are in all rooms. I requested a refund, which I was given without any problems.
