We attempted to stay at this hotel on June 29, 2012. My mother and I saw three bedbugs between the two of us on both beds in the room. Disgusting! We received a full refund from the manager but not after stating they had been sprayed for bugs recently - I'd say whomever did the spraying didn't do a good job

We picked this hotel due to necessity being close to the hospital and affordable. Needless to say, we were in a sad and discouraging frame of mind to begin with due to a medical situation. So to top our experience off, we were eaten alive by bed bugs from our stay at this Days Inn! Be warned and choose some place else!

My husband and I were laying in bed watching tv and we started seeing bugs in the bed with us!!! It was disgusting! We caught a few in a water bottle and called the front desk. The front desk person refused to come to our room to check it out, and she also stated to us that it is against hotel policy to give us a refund, but she would call the manager and call us right back. We started packing our bags as we waited for her to call back. She called back to inform us that she could not refund us
our money. We went to the front desk and gave her the bottle with the bugs in it and told her that we needed to speak with the manager. She acted as if she really didn't care, and just kept saying that she did not know what to tell us. We asked if she could get the manager back on the phone and she stated that she couldn't because its against hotel policy. I told her that good customer service and clean rooms must also be against hotel policy. After arguing a few more minutes, I decided to call the police. After my husband made the call, she went against "hotel policy" and called the manager who told her to refund our money. As we were leaving, the policeman came up and we told him what happened and he agreed that we should have demanded a refund. The next morning, I called the Chesepeake VA health department and gave them the room information. I received a call back that afternoon from the inspector that went out there, letting me know that they had gone out and checked the room and the problem is now being addressed. He couldn't give me too much information because it is an ongoing investigation. We were in Room 120! The funny thing is that when we left and went to another hotel, the 1st thing my husband asked is if they had bedbugs! And the front desk person started laughing and asked which hotel did we just leave from!! People come in quite often in the middle of the night from other area hotels because of bed bugs!! That's terrifying!!
