My husband and I had a reservation to stay a the La Quinta in Wichita Falls last night, March 15th, 2014. When we arrived, we pulled back the sheets to check the mattress for bedbugs. There was no mattress pad and little black bugs were in all the creases of the mattress. Needless to say, we left before unpacking. Yikes! They did refund our money but all of the other hotels were full in Wichita Falls at 10:00 at night. We called ahead to Vernon, Tx and found a clean room.

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn at 1128 Central Freeway, Wichita Falls, Texas, on the evenings of July 14th and 15th, 2012. As a result of my stay there, I picked up a bed bug infestation.
I am a trucker who lives inside my truck almost always. I occasionally get a room if I run out of hours (There is a federally mandated limit on hours worked by truckers) By taking 34 hours off duty, the new "workweek" can be established for drivers.
The last time I slept at a motel before my stay at the La

Quinta was June 20th. I had slept nowhere else other than in my truck between June 20th and July 14th. If I had picked up the bed bugs from the previous motel way back on June 20th, I believe I would have noticed during the 24 days before my next motel stay in Wichita Falls. Therefore, I can conclusively pinpoint the source of the infestation, had to be that motel in Wichita Falls. Now that I have discovered another motel customer's account of having picked up bed bugs at the La Quinta, I am firmly convinced, so I am posting this report here now.
I started noticing some kind of bites on my legs, torso and arms on July 30th. They began to itch very badly, and they're not getting any better. I try to resist the temptation to scratch them, knowing they will become infected if I break the skin. I have been trying to get by with the over the counter remedies, but today I have decided to see a doctor to seek some more effective remedy for the extreme itching.
I don't recall what room number I stayed in, but it was on the ground floor. It would appear that at least ont bed bug hitch hiked out of there in one of my pieces of luggage, and probably layed some eggs inside the cab of my semi tractor, which hatched into more bugs, ect.

We stayed at the Laquinta in Wichita Falls, Tx last Wednesday and we found many bed bugs crawling on the bed the next morning. My wife had over 100 bites all over her body and by that afternoon they were becoming infected. We had to take her to an emergency care center where she was given a steroid shot and three prescriptions. Yesterday she had to get another fill and another new prescription because the infections started to get worse with the heat we are experiencing. When we checked out

and I told the clerk about the bed bugs, we were not even given an apology. We are now trying to work with them to get our room and medical expenses reimbursed. We have taken documentation photos of the bites.
