Janet, thank you so very much for your kind comments, we strive to provide a pristine environment for our guests, and appreciate your comments about our friendly staff.
Rodney, in checking with our staff who were here during your visit, we did not have any reports of any types of bites. Our guestrooms and property are constantly monitored by our highly trained housekeeping staff as well an independent pest control company to ensure that our grounds and rooms are pest-free.

We have our family reunion at the Hyatt Hill Country every year and usually occupy 8 to 12 rooms. We have NEVER in the past 9 years had any expierence with bed bugs. The resort is surrounded by woods, nature trails, bike trails..etc. Many children run around (sometimes unattended) in these areas and are bound to be bitten by insects. Assuming "bites", from a property located in the woods, came from bed bugs is presumptious at the least. It is one of the cleanest properties I ever stayed at and t

We checked into the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort on March 24th and brought bed bugs home with us here.
Bed bugs are horrible and I highly recommend no one staying with the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort based on this sole experience.
I will be contacting the resort for a refund and reimbursement of our fees here. I will post a update with their response.

We have never had a confirmed incident of bed bugs at our property. Even with our successful track record, we take every report of suspected bed bugs very seriously. If a guest reports that he or she may have found bed bugs, we take swift action. We immediately close the room. The vacuum cleane
r used to clean the room is removed from service without delay. Most importantly, we call in a nationally recognized pest control expert to investigate the room and take all steps necessary to address the situation.
The safety of our guests and the cleanliness of our facilities are top priorities. At Hyatt, our regular inspections and our trained and knowledgeable housekeeping staff serve as the best lines of defense. We pride ourselves on keeping our teams equipped with the knowledge, training, and tools needed to identify and address any issues, and we regularly review our housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure that each Hyatt guest enjoys a safe, clean and comfortable environment in our hotels and resorts.

My family and I stayed there last summer also during a trip to SEAworld. We woke up the next day with rashes or so we thought. I had to take our son to the ER and the doctor told us it looked like bed bug bites. Sure enough we went back to our room and checked the mattresses and found little bity tiny black bugs. We left and won't ever stay at Hyatt again. Top dollar for a nice resort, but too many bugs.

My family stayed there last summer for planned 3 nights. I always check mattresses before I let my children sleep in a hotel bed. And sure enough they were there. I found a Housekeeper in the hallway, she came in and looked and stated that they had been having problems with bedbugs. She called her Supervisor and he came and looked at the mattress. He then called the Rooms Executive and she came and looked also, offered to move us to another room. We said no thanks, and changed hotels. Did
not offer to reimburse our room. We will not stay with Hyatt anymore.
