My daughter is the one that made the report, she called me at 12:30 midnight with pictures of the bugs all over the beds in one of the cabins. Her husband, her, and her twin boys got eaten up with the bed bugs. They left that night. When they returned home she had to go to the Dr. because she had an allergic reaction to the bites, the Dr. told her that was the worse case of bed bug bites that she had ever seen. So say what you want, they were all bitten and they were bed bugs, the Dr. documented
it for her. It took weeks for the bites to disappear. So stay there at your own risk, hope you don't rent the same cabin.

We have stayed in the camping cabins at the KOA in Pigeon Forge numerous times over the past several years. In our experiences we have never had an issue with bed bugs. It has always been one of the most well kept and maintained campgrounds we like to frequent. We have always found the workers to be helpful and knowledgeable. We have recommend it to many friends and family and will continue to do so in the future!

We stayed at the KOA Kampground on 9/02/11 and were inundated with bed bugs. They were all over our sheets in both beds. They were in every stage of development. I wasn't aware they were bed bugs at the time but had my suspicions. As soon as we noticed them at 12:30 am we got up and went to stay in a hotel. We checked ourselves really good and didn't see any. We also bagged up all of our sheets and blankets to prevent contamination of anything else. The lady at the desk insisted they hadn
't had any other complaints but I find that hard to believe because some of these bugs were really big. They did refund our money but honestly I think that is a small price to pay if I end up with bed bugs in my house. Needless to say we will not be staying at the KOA in Pigeon Forge again.
