Bed Bugs were found our second night in my son's bed at this hotel. Management tried to accommodate us, but they were sold out of rooms so we had to move 2 additional times including another resort 20 minutes away and settle for a much smaller room. Plus we had to bag all of our belongings and launder what we could. We were promised a full refund for our stay.
Unfortunately, the Manager, Ms. Marvis did not keep her word about our refund and became extremely rude and defensive with me on th
e phone. Her behavior towards me was was just as traumatic as the bed bugs themselves. I will never be staying at this resort again.

May 21, 2011 My fiance and I arrived at the seaside resort pleased to see the same upkept modern room which we saw in the photos online. Room seemed very clean, nothing sent off red flags that there would be any issues in our stay. Three days into our stay before heading downstairs for a day at the pool I noticed something small move quickly across our unmade bed. Immediately I was alarmed and on the search for this critter which I honestly thought to be a small beetle or maybe a tiny roach. Aft
er spotting it and catching it in a tissue I was totally freaked out thinking it looked different than anything I had ever seen. My fiance and I both thought it seemed too big to be a bed bug so we googled it on his smart phn and sure enough it was identical! I was disgusted. To make matters worse the front desk clerk Lisa was not helpful and first tried to transfer us to another room, which we declined. Then would only refund us for the nights we weren't staying. Not the nights previous. She gave us the run around and said to keep any of our laundry receipts since we would be spending the next 4 hours at the laundromat trying to kill any live souveneirs we were taking home with us. As if quarter laundry machines print receipts. Needless to say I don't know if I will ever be comfortable in a hotel again.
