My family and I stayed here Aug 17-24 2014. My daughters and my granddaughter all had bug bites every morning with they woke up and my grandaughter who is 2 1/2 being the worse. We have been staying here for over 15 years and will never be back again due to bed bugs and the poor service this year. This hotel has gone down hill fast!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Have called the hotel to ask for a refund but have not heard a word!!!

Two words, BED BUGS! Pretty much says it all. In rooms 710 and 717. Staff not helpful, manager Tony a butt! Checked in May 19 around 4:00 checked out May 20 at 3:00 am.

Feb 13-19, 2013 After two nights of staying in this hotel I noticed a small mark on my neck, two days later I had welts and marks consistant with bed bug bites. I am so upset that I failed to do a check of the mattress and area upon my arrival. I have been to the doctor twice since coming home. Both doctors are fairly confident this was a bad bed bug bite. This is like no bite I have ever had before and do not wish this upon anyone. I called the hotel to ask about this and naturally, they
denied anything. Beware if you are going to stay here. I would check everything before you set foot in this hotel. I am just praying we did not bring one of these bugs home with us.
We checked in on August 12th and stayed on the 4th floor in the newer tower (Palmetto). We found bed bugs on the wall in the morning and took pictures of them. We also found stains on one of the pillows. After told the front desk person, the manager (Jim) and another maintenance person came to our room. We showed them the pictures of bed bugs that we took and the pillow, the manager did not seem to be surprised and told us that bed bugs are common problems that every hotels had to deal with. The
maintenance person did not do much inspection either. The manager offered us a full refund if we wanted to look for other hotel or a refund for one night if we moved to another available room. We didn't want to run around town to look for another hotel and we had stayed at Sandy Beach last year and did have problem. We decided to move to another room after inspected it. When we went to the front desk to get our keys for the new room, the manager decided to give us a refund for two nights.
