Not sure why Jayne is now claiming a false alarm, however we spent our vacation there the week of June 25, 2012. I just spent $1,500 to heat treat my entire house because we found a few bed bugs last week. The heat treatment killed all the bugs as far as I could see we hope.

I cannot confirm they came from room 708 or where we did our laundry...the laundry room is on the 16th floor where Jayne reported the first incident. I never thought about bugs or how easily they are carried from place

to place but the only place we have been is Ocean Forest Plaza.

Just want to let everyone know that the report I made regarding unit 1604 was a false alarm. I have sent two requests to the registry to remove the previous information but nothing has been done. Please keep this in mind when you read other information on their web site.

Pest control has been into the unit to verify this fact. Management has done everything possible under the circumstances and has been very understanding and supportive. All common areas have been inspected.

To others m

aking reports - please make sure the pests are bed bugs and not fleas, etc... People hide their pets in units and bring up sand fleas from the beach in towel, etc...

I have just been informed that unit 1604 has a severe bed bug infestation. The rental agency has said that 1603 and 1605 will have to be treated as well. After talking with other long term residence I have learned that quite a few other units are know to have had problems. Please check your stuff and be careful when using the community laundry rooms. Or better yet -Don't stay here.
