As the manager of this hotel, we take bed bugs very seriously. The report states that they stayed 7/2012 but reported it on 7/2013. I can only speak to late 2012 and 2013. The guest who states she stayed with us this year, has not ever contacted us. We check rooms daily by housekeeping and have pest control here monthly to check rooms.

If and when a guest states they believe they have been bit, we close the room off and have our licensed pest company here that day or the following day. Here i

n the south the biting bugs are numerous including chiggers and no seeums which bites look and itch almost exactly like the bed bug.

Bed bugs get into homes in many ways including buying furniture that have them in it. It is not just hotels, but airports and public places people pick them up and they hitchhike there way in hotels and homes.

My family stayed in this hotel on July 5, 2013. Uneducated about bed bugs at the time, we are now all too familiar with them as the bugs have been found in my house biting us at night. I recall waking in this Red Roof with bites but assumed they were mosquito bites. Wish I had known then what I know now. I'm out $1,600 for the cost of an exterminator, not to mention the many nights of loss sleep and time missed from my job, as I'm too embarrassed for my co-workers to see the bite marks. While I

cannot prove this hotel is the source of my current bed bug problem, it sure seems likely given the other bed bug report made in July, 2013.

I will NEVER stay at this Red Roof again!

We visited here in July of 2012. We had stayed a couple times before and had always been pleased. Unfortunately, this trip we were not. The first night we were there I woke up and saw a bug crawling up the sheets towards me. I didn't realize what it was and squished it. Blood came out all over the sheets. I knew right then what it was. They moved us to another room for the rest of the night (like we could sleep after that) and then we found another hotel for the rest of our stay. We then had to

quarantine all of our luggage when we got home to insure that we didn't bring any critters home with us. I would never stay at that Red Roof again
