To all past and prospective customers,

I would like to take this opportunity to address the threads here below. I have been working at the Newport Marriott for the better part of 13 years with a small gap in between. I can with good conscience say that in my time here at the hotel we have not had a single bed bug issue.

This place has had this problem for a while. I know I worked there and listened to the GM tell a bold face lie about it to a group during a pre-con meeting!!

Week of August 17 stayed at the Newport Marriott. One of my daughters has bites all over her legs that appear consistent with bed but bites. My other daughter in the same room did not get bits. I can't be 100% sure that they were bed bugs or that she was bitten there, but it seems the most likely explanation.

I stayed at the hotel from June 5-7 2012. The day I checked out I had bites in groups of three all over my right leg. Very itchy and they burn. I called the hotel and was told someone would call me back.
