We returned from a one-night stay (Sept. 2010) at this hotel and noticed bites one week later. We live in DC so we could have gotten them elsewhere. Also, we never saw any bugs or other signs. But just to be cautious, I'm posting this. The Independent is a great hotel so take this with a grain of salt.
