Stayed at this hotel from April 29th to May 1st 2012. I noticed small stains on the bed sheets, however I didn't think much of it since I do not travel a whole lot and did not realize bed bugs are running rampant in American hotels. When I arrived back home in Toronto I woke up one night and saw a bed bug crawling up my shirt. I captured it and did a bit of research online and was horrified. I ended up having an infestation on my bed. There is a real possibility the bed bugs spread through
the rest of the house as well. My family and I we'll be hiring a PCO. As most of you know these are definetely not cheap.
Now that I know the signs its blatentely obvious a female bed bug hitched a ride in my clothing/luggage from the hotel. Stories around the web from other travellers confirm my suspiscion. Please avoid this hotel at all costs the convenience of the stadiums is absolutely not worth the despicable conditions and terrible situation you may find yourself in. I wish I knew more about bed bugs before I stayed here, but you live and you learn. It's unfortunate that this hotel can get away with this disgusting behaviour due to the location. Just stay somewhere else in Philadelphia. I'm ashamed I didn't take the proper precautions. What a traumatic experience I've put myself in. I'm having allergic reactions to all the bites. I'm depressed, angry, humiliated and suicidal.
December 8th, 2011--We stayed in room 302 after a concert for one night in the first week of December. Well, this past Monday (9 days afterwards), my boyfriend woke up COVERED in HUNDREDS of rows of huge red bumps--some the size of nickels--all on his arms, legs, hands and feet. He thought it was just an allergic reaction, went out and bought Benadryl but it did nothing for it. Tuesday morning he wakes up with even MORE on his hands and feet. I, on the other hand, don't have a single bump. We di
d our research and everything leads to bed bugs. The exterminator asked us if we've been to any hotels recently and then introduced us to this website. Sure enough, thanks to the comments above and ANOTHER Holiday Inn Stadium lising on this site, all 7 entries conclude that there have been confirmed sightings of bed bugs! Most people claim it's from the 3rd floor--where we stayed! I even remember seeing two blood smears in the middle of the bed the next morning and asking myself, "What are they from? Did either of us bleed last night? Am I going to be charged?" and now it all makes sense! I am not sure why I don't have any bites, but the exterminator said different people have different reactions. It typically takes 9 days for bite marks to appear on the skin. . .which would bring us to this Monday. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. We now may have to spend $1200 to get our furniture frozen. So far, no evidence of bed bugs but that doesn't mean they aren't here and hibernating. Hopefully they all stayed in the hotel.
YUCK! I stayed at this hotel from the 11th-13th of November 2011 and flew home the 14th. Today, the 15th, I discovered a BEDBUG had traveled home with me in my BACKPACK! I'm thoroughly disgusted...

Jan. 25-27, 2008 in room 719 at the Holiday Inn Stadium in Philadelphia at 900 Packer Ave. I was in my bed all day on Jan 25th. When I woke up on the 26th I noticed some irritation. I knew I had been bit by something. Seeing this was in the dead of winter I knew it happened in the room. As the week went on the bites just got more itchy and more red. The hotel did reimburse me for my stay but it's been over 2 weeks and I can still see the bites.
