December 8th, 2011--We stayed in room 302 after a concert for one night in the first week of December. Well, this past Monday (9 days afterwards), my boyfriend woke up COVERED in HUNDREDS of rows of huge red bumps--some the size of nickels--all on his arms, legs, hands and feet. He thought it was just an allergic reaction, went out and bought Benadryl but it did nothing for it. Tuesday morning he wakes up with even MORE on his hands and feet. I, on the other hand, don't have a single bump. We di

d our research and everything leads to bed bugs. The exterminator asked us if we've been to any hotels recently and then introduced us to this website. Sure enough, thanks to the comments above and ANOTHER Holiday Inn Stadium lising on this site, all 7 entries conclude that there have been confirmed sightings of bed bugs! Most people claim it's from the 3rd floor--where we stayed! I even remember seeing two blood smears in the middle of the bed the next morning and asking myself, "What are they from? Did either of us bleed last night? Am I going to be charged?" and now it all makes sense! I am not sure why I don't have any bites, but the exterminator said different people have different reactions. It typically takes 9 days for bite marks to appear on the skin. . .which would bring us to this Monday. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. We now may have to spend $1200 to get our furniture frozen. So far, no evidence of bed bugs but that doesn't mean they aren't here and hibernating. Hopefully they all stayed in the hotel.

Hello,

I am responding to the two complaints from the guests regarding the bed bugs. We did contact our Extermination company who found "no" bed bugs in either of the rooms. I do understand that there has been bed bug issues in Hotels thur out the country. We therefore take precautionary measures to make sure we do not get our share of bed bugs. We use Western Pest Services which is a national company, who has been doing a wonderful job maintaining our Hotel.

I was in room 908 on the 26th of June for a teacher conference at ISTA. I complained to the management that I was getting bit by bed bugs and brought them 'evidence' (feces, casings etc)I told them that I had several bites on my shoulders and back. The manager and security guard came to my room looked at the mattress and said there is nothing here.
I cried, and then took the bed apart. I found them in the seams of the quilted cover-between the sheet and the mattress. (Pull apart the S curve-

they weren't at the headboard like it says online) I used "post it" notes from the conference to trap them. I brought them to ANDY at the front desk who said--and I quote "Yeah, I know. We have a bed bug problem but it isn't in the entire hotel" I spent the rest of the night sitting in a chair-since both double beds were infested. THEN, I spent the next 24 hours delousing ALL my travel items and losing some of my best clothes to hot water and hi dry temps. It was disgusting -wiping all the dead bedbugs from the basket.

WORSE, when I contacted Holiday Inn Coporate HQ the response is as follows:

I have forwarded your comments to Tushar Shah, General Manager of this franchised location. I know he shares our vision of providing the best guest experience possible. The hotel took your comments seriously and immediately contacted their pest control company, Western Pest Services to come and inspect the room. The results of the inspection showed no evidence of any insects.

It is obvious that IRONICALLY Holiday Inn does not care how you sleep at night.

My mother and I were staying in room 218 and I initially noticed a small reddish bug in the bathroom. I killed it because I believed it to be some sort of insect stemming from the intense humidity in our room. However, I saw another bug of the same sort on the wall and I brushed it off once again. It wasn't until I saw one crawling across my comforter that I began to freak out, even then I flicked it off of my bed. I proceeded to Google "bed bugs" in order to find a picture to make sur

e I wasn't over-reacting. Lo and behold...the image I see on my computer screen matched what I saw exactly. However my mother did not believe me...until she had one crawling across the pillow in which she was laying her head. At which point I was heading to the bathroom and in there I spotted 3 more of these bugs. My mother was on the phone with the front desk and I proceeded to quickly pack everything I had in my room in order to get out of that room as soon as possible. Wonderfully, security only took 15 minutes (extreme sarcasm). However we were moved to another, bug-free room.
