I check in at 10:46am here at Super 8 Mason, Mason, Oh. The one by Kings Island, on business. I laid down to sleep around 12:30 after I went to get a bite to eat. I woke up to a stinging feeling, so I went into the bathroom, turn in the light, and low and behold, my shoulder was Red and itching. I knew right away what was going in. I ran to the bed, pulled the covers back, and damn, there it was. A Bed Bug. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of it. Then grabbed a cup off the table, scooped it

up into it, and ran up to the front desk, with just my shorts on. I ask the clerk if he was the manager, he said nope. I said, I just check in today, and I just been bitten by a Bed Bug in room 123. I then showed him my shoulder and the bug in the cup, and snapped a picture if my shoulder right in front of him. Then I insisted my money back. Then the little..... who checked me in, came over and said, "she" can only give me half of money back. I look at her light, if you don't get the.... out of this conversation. But instead, I insisted they call their owner or manager and tell him I want a full refund, or I'm calling the police and Health Department. So they did, and I'm out sleeping in my car until its time for me to head back to Columbus around 8:30pm. What an experience !!!!!!! I'm still calling the Health Department tomorrow, since its Sunday now, they're not open, to report this problem.

I just completed a week's stay at the Super 8 in Mason. I was barely in the room other than to sleep and shower since I was attending the tennis tournament in town.

The first night or so (August 12 or 13) I had a few bites when I woke up in the morning. They were smallish and didn't itch so I didn't give it much thought and assumed there may be some mosquitoes in the room. Then later in the week I had more bites overnight. I did not speak to management as we were gone all day and sometimes un

til late at night at the tennis. They weren't incredibly painful so I let it go and hoped the bites would stop.

This morning (August 19) I awoke to about 100 bites all over my body. They are welts and are fiery and itchy. I had a 13 hour drive home from Mason and I am in a lot of pain.

When I checked out this morning around 8am, I told the man at the counter about my bites. I showed him a few, and said they didn't look like bedbugs. He asked if I'd been outside, and I said yes I'd been at a tennis tourney all week but certainly would have noticed if I was being stung by mosquitos. He didn't appear too concerned but I assure him they were bedbugs. I didn't ask for management as we needed to get on our way.

I kick myself for not asking to change rooms or for something else but stay here at your own risk. I'd gladly now pay an extra $50 per night and not be covered in welts and in great pain.

We stayed at this hotel July 4, 2011; my son was in the bed watching TV and they were crawling on him. The management stated that this had never happened before and seemed annoyed with us. We decided to leave.

My family and I rented two rooms for our vacation in July of 2010. After the first night, my mother, sister, and myself were literally covered with tiny red bumps from the waist down. I should also note that we were in separate rooms so the bed bugs were in no way confined to one area!!

After we complained to the manager, he explained that the hotel was booked solid so he couldn't transfer us to another room but would "trade out" all of our mattresses, bedding, towels, etc. while we spent t

he day at Kings Island.

Our second night was uneventful and we did not wake up to any additional bites. But by the 3rd night, we were again covered in hundreds of red, blister-like, painful bites. This time, we gave no second chances. We checked out that morning as soon as we woke up.

The bites took weeks to completely clear up and were very painful and annoying. Some of the larger bites even left scars! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!
