4/5/14 Read all of the reviews but, decided to take my chances anyway. So glad I did. Room was clean. Staff was super friendly and not a bed bug in sight. Looking forward to a summer stay with my family.

I'm a mentor with a youth group and we stayed in rooms 431 & 432 and I woke up about 11:45pm itching and discovered 4 bed bugs crawling in the bed. I used the hotel key card to chase them and put them in a cup and took it to the front desk and the clerk ask if I wanted to change rooms and I said no that I couldn't stay at that hotel with 12 kids and he immediately refunded me.

We checked in to RMS 552 and 553 on our vacation. We made a point to ask the clerk about any past issues with bed bugs. She told us they have not had any within a year and have strict pest polices. We didn't want to take them at their word so we checked mattress before bringing our things inside. There were dried blood stains and other signs of an infestation! The worker that came to look agreed this was a bed bug issue. We promptly checked out. Thanks to Baymont Inn for rescuin

g our vacation. They are clean and gave us a great deal after our troubles. I have 5 little ones and they were traumatized!!

My son was on a youth group trip for the weekend. There were many schools there. They were notified that another school group found two bed bugs crawling on the bed. They googled pictures and confirmed it was a bed bug. That school group went home. (They were in a different part of the hotel than our school) I did not know about this until I picked my son up on Sunday and he told me. I took every precaution once we brought his stuff home. It all went straight in the

dryer!!!!

I wish I would have checked this site before allowing him to go on this trip.

I had made reservations to stay at this hotel prior to checking the reviews. I tried to cancel my reservation the day of my stay at 11:00 a.m. The manager informed me that I could not cancel and asked my reasons. I explained that I saw reviews about bed bugs. After much discussion he said that they did have a problem with bed bugs in their economy rooms but these were closed during the winter season and they did not have them in the "better rooms". He is still refusing to let me cancel my reserv

ation. I very much wish I had his statements recorded. He indicated that if I come up and the room is not "satisfactory" then I may cancel without incurring the 40$ cancellation fee. Clearly I am not interested in staying in a hotel with confirmed bed bugs.

We stayed at Kings Island Resort for our family Reunion. When we entered into the lobby you could tell this was not good. The carpet was smelly and filthy, there were holes in the ceiling hallway, some rooms had rusty bathtubs, patio door broken and a damp smell in the rooms. We changed our room because of the patio door, but the 2nd room was no better. A tiny red bug was on my bed & sheets had stains on them. Room service changed our linen, but I was on the edge for the re

st of the weekend. I googled the tiny red bug & bedbugs. I found out the tiny was a clover mite. I never saw bedbugs but it sure look like they had been there. Our room was never vacuum or wiped down, and the beds were half made up.

We did not have a good experience here. When we checked in, our better judgement told us to go somewhere else immediately. The halls were filthy (trash, smashed food, dust, etc), the doors were beat up, the windows were covered in bird poop and cobwebs,... But we were in town with a choir group, so we decided to stay anyway. We found that our bathroom sink would not drain, so the maintenance guys showed up at 9:00 pm with toilet plungers and a shop vac and worked for 45 minutes,

to no avial. So the guy at the desk called to tell us they were moving us. When we went to that room and opened the door, it was occupied, and the poor people in the room were understandably mortified! The guy at the desk immediately gave us keys to a different room. We went in and found toothpast on the faucet, a gob of toothpaste in the sink, and pee splatters on the toilet. GROSS! Shortly after that, our daughter saw a bug crawling on the pillow. We caught it and removed all of our belongings from the room. The manager was at the desk and confirmed that it was a bed bug. (I had pulled back the sheets, and checked under the mattress and didn't see anything. Lesson learned is that you must be much more thorough when you check!!) We put all of our things in sealed bags, and drove home in the middle of the night. It was a disaster. We spent most of the day today washing and drying on high heat, going through every nook and cranny of our bags in the driveway with a flashlight, and vowing to always listen to our gut in this type of situation.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed in the 2 story suite, it was suppose to be the best experience for my daughters birthday. Well it was definately an experience. She had 5 friends with her and of course there was bed bugs too. One of her friends screamed there were bugs crawling on her legs at about 12:30 at night. I just couldn't believe it. It was an adult & when I pulled up the mattress I could see some babies. I had checked the room when we got there, but I didn't look under the bed skirt. I guess w

hen they played around & knocked the mattresses off the beds they must of disturbed them. Well when I looked under the bed skirt, yep there were even more. It was so gross. They moved us to another room, Ha Ha, and had all our stuff moved to our new room. Way to move the bed bugs around. It just didn't make any sense to me. We wanted to dry our clothes so we would have something clean to sleep in and they couldn't even get us some quarters. It was a horrible experience. The next day they gave us trash bags and said that when they have there 3rd party confirm the bed bugs they will get in touch with us. So when we left who knows what we took with us. I had to drop 5 girls off to their parents with bad news and trash bags, telling them not to take anything in the house and I guess just pray that we didn't bring any with us in the car or on us. Now that is has been confirmed and we have no idea if we brought any with us, we are all a little paniced. I will update on if they solve this problem or not. They should of left our stuff there and gave us clean stuff to wear, until they got our stuff washed and dryed so we could go home knowing that we had no bed bugs on or with us. I think they need to rethink their bed bug policy to get a hold on this epidemic.
Thanks for ruining my daughters birthday Great Wolf Lodge!

Around 11:30 pm we saw a bed bug on the pillow and then another on another pillow so we pulled the mattress out and at the head of the mattress at the seam we found many many more. We lifted the clock and there was another one so we pulled the other mattress out to check if that bed was infested and it had Only one bug. We called the manager which moved us to another room and did a search for bed bugs in there with us. He was very nice and very understanding.

We stayed at this hotel for an event. A friday, sat and sunday. On sat evening my daughter noticed a bug on the alarm clock. I looked at it grabbed a tissue and squished it. It didnt look like anything I had ever seen so I looked online and low and behold looked just like a bed bug! I put the bug in a cup and marched up to the desk. We were promptly moved to another room but while the mantinence man came in to view if there were more he removed our bedding and guess what more bugs. 2 more! The

mamagement was very appolgetic and was very accomidating.
