We we at The Westin New York at Time Square last February 2012 (19th to 26th) and didn't noticed any bedbugs or other undesirable insects in or outside the room. We would stay at this hotel again, certainly!

Stayed at this hotel July 9-11 2011. Did experience repeated itching in bed and one morning noticed a couple of small itchy bumps that lasted a few days. Kept wondering if they were bed bugs and kept checking sheets for any sign but never found any. Then was sharing this with a friend when I got home and she said you need to lift the mattress and look underneath it. Didn't know that and didn't do that so can't be certain. All in all found the hotel pretty clean for NYC.

January 2011 Checked out of hotel in am, thought I had bites in the pm. Called 3 times in 2 days, did not get an answer. Finally got them to call me back and they had to wait over the weekend to get the company to come to the hotel to check the room. Ridiculous. I have my suitcase packed in a plastic bag with thousands of dollars of clothes and fur "waiting" to see if there are bed bugs.

Stayed at the hotel 12/25-12/27 and found no traces of bed bugs. Checked the sheets, mattresses, and all was clear! Been home for a couple days, and still no traces of itching or bed bugs. We called before we went to see if they took it seriously, and we could not get in touch with manager, however, as I mentioned, our room was bed bug clean!

I stayed at this hotel SEPT 28th thru OCT 3RD,2010
and had no problems. No Bed Bugs. The reception was polite as I asked specifically for a room that had no history of bed bugs.
Hotel is very cognizant of the bed bug problems in the New York City area.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I note the hotel does not have a good track record of professionally handling the matter and seems to want to sweep any occurences under the rug or wants to say the person was allergic.

I only looked up this hotel when I saw it featured on Project Runway and was quite surprised to see that they do not take bedbugs seriously.
