My brother, who will accept nothing but the best, stays at the St. Regis every time he visits New York. He has never found any bedbugs! In fact, he raves so highly of this hotel, that for the first time, I am checking in for a few days later this month. The manager's response to the one complaint, shows just how much they care about their guests and how seriously they take ANY complaint. After my stay, I will post any bedbug problem. But I seriously doubt there will be one.

This is a response to the guest who posted anonimously on 01/11/2011:
Dear Guest,
I would like to thank you for choosing the St. Regis Hotel on your most recent visit to New York. Kindly know that we take any comments of this nature very seriously and always welcome the opportunity to resolve this or any other concerns directly with our guests during their stay.
To address this growing problem, Starwood mandates an aggressive pest control policy, which includes regularly scheduled prof
essional inspections and, if necessary, elimination protocols. We have also implemented a thorough training program for our housekeeping and maintenance personnel to assist in the early recognition of infestation. These standard procedures require that the room in which any guest who reports a potential concern to be quarantined; it shall remain quarantined until a thorough inspection by a licensed and recognized professional elimination specialist can be conducted. I want to assure you that we have fully implemented the policy and protocols here at the St. Regis New York.
It is our expressed commitment to make every guest experience an enjoyable one. Your comfort, satisfaction and trust are very important to us. We hope this information will be beneficial in allowing you or any other guest peace of mind when you chose The St. Regis.
Please feel free to reach out to me and I would truly welcome the opportunity to discuss this any further.

my husband was staying in a suite at the St. Regis when he saw three bed bugs climbing the wall. he reported it to staff and they denied it and swatted them off the wall saying they were crumbs. they moved him to a much smaller room.
