I cannot be certain that I got bed bug bites or if I got the bites when I stayed in this hotel. Here is what happened:

Stayed in room 509 on Sep 4, 2012. I checked every where in the room and did not see bed bugs. However, two days later, I have red marks on my arm. They look like bed bug bites from photos I looked up on the internet.

No bed bugs!

Stayed last Christmas.

3 star hotel.

Cons:
-Slooooow elevators
-No phone in our original room
-No heat in original room (middle of december!) so they gave us two plug in space heaters, hazard?! Fuse was blown on our floor as well
-Loud mornings! next door had tons of construction, right outside our window of the upgraded suite.


Pros:
-Great location! Close walk to times square, but far enough away for a good rate.
-After complaining of no phone and space heaters

Stayed in a room on the 3rd floor from August 23rd to August 30th, 2012 and, while this wasn't the cleanest place I've ever stayed, there were no bed bugs or other vermin to report.

Stayed at the Americana Inn last night (July 27, 2012) and no bed bugs!!! I'm staying again tonight with no worries. :-)

09/06/2010: checked in then straight out. Rodents frequent the corridors here...
