I satyed at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas for three nights October 16, 17, 18, 2013. I was at believe it or not a dermatology meeting at which they described bed bugs.
Upon awakening after the first night I noticed a bite on my left forearm. After the third night I had about three bites. I then becamed concerned. Following the next few days I erupted in about thirty bites on both my arms, one on my abdomen and one on my leg. I did not sleep for ten nights and was miserable. I required syst
emic steroids and antihistamine for relief.
I called the hotel and made a report. A few days later they stated that an independent ivestigator said there were no bed bugs in that room. Case closed. When asked to see the report, they said only with a subpeona.
I am a dermatologist, I treat these kinds of conditions on a daily basis. I have seen bed bug bites in the past. I have no doubt in my mind that I got bed bug bites from the Encore Hotel. Although I understand that there is an "epidemic" of these critters, I do not feel that I should suffer ten days of no sleep and be treated so lightly.

I stayed at the Encore Wynn Floor 25, the double bed room adjacent to a suite, on May 16-18, 2013. I woke up the second morning with bites on my legs and hands. I thought mosquito bites at first, since I visited the Grand Canyon but these bites swelled and hurt and the excruciating itch was nothing that I have ever felt before. I only stayed for two nights (thank goodness) and received 10 bites. These bites have been confirmed by a dermatologist to be bedbugs. Unfortunately, I think that I brou
ght them home too. A two night stay at a very high end hotel is turning into a nightmare.
