We arrived on July 12, 2013 to stay one night and enjoy Point Pleasant Beach and Boardwalk. The day we arrived it rained and forcast for the next day was sunny and warm. The hotel was very nice and clean however we did find a bed bug.
We used the hotel room for about 4 hours (from 3pm) to rest before we went out to dinner because there were storms in the area. When getting ready for bed at 9pm we found a bed bug on the bed and alerted the front desk. We asked for a refund as we were going
to drive home and not stay. I am pregnant and we have a 3 year old and did not want to chance staying there. Mr. Raj Patel at the front desk who said he was the owner told us he would not refund out money and accused us of bringing the bug there. He then threatened to call the police on us if we told anyone else. I did inform other patrons who were outside of their rooms at the time so that they could check their beds as it is their right to be informed as well. Mr. Patel continued to threaten to call the police and accuse us of bringing bed bugs with us to get a free room. We did not get any benefit as we had to drive 3 hours home at 9pm with a 3 year old and then exterminate our car and luggage to be safe. Mr. Patel also stated we could hire an exterminator and if they found any more he would then refund our money.
