As I read these other reports I am shocked by this continual pattern of denial from the hotel management. This is clearly a ploy to discredit their guests and admit their own culpability. I stayed at the hotel from August 20th to August 23nd of 2012 and I woke up each morning with small red spots on my waist. I thought it might have been some kind of heat rash but then on the third night I woke up in the middle of the night and actually saw I had a cluster of 4 bites on my ankle. When I to
ld the front desk about this while checking out he said they would send out a pest company to examine the room and he apologized.
I never followed up with these clowns but decided to look up their status because I am supposed to book 22 rooms for my company but now I won't book it there!

Ingrid, I left you a phone message yesterday in regards to your claim. When you reported the problem to the hotel we immediately contacted our licensed pest company who came out to do an inspection of the room. The pest company found no traces of any pest activity in this room. Please return my call as I would like to discuss this with you.

I stayed at the Minneapolis Hilton from August 11-15 with work. The last night of staying in room 2111 I had numerous bites on my upper torso. A cluster of 3 nestled on the upper torso below my neck plus others on my torso. I discreetly talked with the Concierge to tell them about this problem. I had to do this between work which was a hassle as I had to go back and forth to the Convention center to discuss this with the hotel. The gentleman I spoke with was Samuel and he was new to his job
. After going back and forth to the back room he said that they could sterilize my clothes and that I should put all my clothes and suitcase in the bathtub. I did this and headed back to work. When I returned I had to wait extensively to get my clothes back. I wanted to change and asked them to sterilize the clothes I was wearing because I was freaked out by getting bitten in room 2111. I asked that they notify me if they found anything, and the next day Samuel called me and said that their pest control did not find bed bugs in the room. I find it hard to believe, and have noticed that on every single complaint the hotel denies having a bedbug problem. This hotel has had probably the most complaints that I have seen for Minneapolis. I think my job is slated to stay at this hotel next year too, and I will not be staying at this hotel.

I stayed at the Hilton Downtown Minneapolis last night in room 1423, and woke up this morning with very itchy ankles and calves. I just returned home tonight, and after showering notice many red welts beginning to form. I will see what they look like in the morning, but they appear to be bed bug bites. I will post a follow-up after I contact the hotel and my family doctor in the morning.

We take the issue of pest control, including bedbugs, very seriously. The safety and comfort of our guests are our top priority. This hotel employs a thorough detection program based on training, education and awareness. This hotel has retained the services of a licensed, reputable Pest Control Company that performed an appropriate inspection of your room. As mentioned earlier the room was reported by the pest company as being free of any pests including bed bugs.

I submitted the report of bed bug bites in room 1244 on 5/15. I can attest that I spoke with Matt as well. After I contacted the hotel they informed me that there were people occupying my room and they wouldn't be able to check the room until they checked out. I was checked by a doctor who confirmed bed bugs, however Matt said the room was swept by a pest control company (after the occupants checked out!) and nothing was found. I wouldn't take the risk, stay elsewhere.

Don't let them bs you. After my son was confirmed to have bedbug bites by a doctor on Sunday,7/14/2012. He had an elergic reaction. We called the hotel on Saturday and informed them and they said they would not call us back until Monday because the room was occupied through Sunday and they weren't going to inform or disturb the current guest in the room. I would probably have to say the person that wrote the last post probably works at/or for the hotel.

I'm attending a conference at this hotel in October so I called the front desk manager, "Matt", today (07/17/12) to request further information. Matt indicated that have had a number of reports, but that 90 to 95% have been confirmed to be false. According to Matt, they are required to take the reported room out of service for 12 days while a state-approved pest control company comes in to confirm the claim and clean the room OR state that the claim was false.
Bottom line, there have been a
few confimred cases at this hotel.

My son just came home from a concert in Minneapolis, covered in bed bug bites. He did not know what it was.
