On August 5, 2012 this guest stayed at the hotel and complained of bugs, we inspected the room and informed the guest that the bugs were not bed bugs. The next morning, we had Ecolab come to the hotel and inspect the room. Ecolab is a national company and has a high quality of service reputation. He informed us that there was no rodent or insect activity. There was no pest activity found during service. Inspection number is 2772206.

We found a bedbug in the night in one of the beds on August 3rd in room 202. We pulled up pictures of bedbugs online to compare and it left little doubt that is was a adult bedbug. So we tore the bed apart still feeling like this is crazy, it can't be, and we quickly found 2 more in the crevice of the box spring when we lifted the bed skirt. I took note of the fact that the mattress's looked new? We called the desk, to report this and they sent someone within minutes to the room. He insisted on

checking the bed, and wasn't convinced the bugs we showed him were in fact bedbugs (not that it mattered, we
were sure and were leaving!)and he said the room had been very recently inspected for bedbugs because they had a complaint 2 DAYS BEFORE about that very same room! You put 2 and 2 together.
We were unable to find a hotel with vacancies at 1am, but he called back a short time later and fortunately they had a no show in the hotel next door (which they also owned even though it was a Holiday Inn) and moved us there and didn't charge us for the night. It was a much nicer hotel and I felt it was handled well overall , but have to wonder what we would of done if they didn't have an open room-The whole area was totally booked.
Again they did handle things well and were nice to us, but should they have been so quick to rent that room again? Now I have to worry we might of brought one back home, I won't even bring the suitcase in the house.
