After staying a night I noticed over a dozen red bumps that stretched from the abdomen to my back. The bumps were not random but appeared in groups. This is apparently typical for bedbug feeding behavior. I took pictures of the bites with me cell phone and reported this at the front desk and was assigned a new room. I spent about an hour carefully going through all my luggage to make sure I was not bringing anything home with me. I got the standard "we inspected your room, but did not find any e

vidence of bedbugs" update 24 hours later. I don't think that is surprising, they would have to rip out their old nasty carpets to really look thoroughly.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from May 29 - May 30, 2013 - only one simple night. We love this hotel and the area. However, by viewing this site, it appears the entire Wisconsin Avenue has an issue. I do not think it is exclusive to Hyatt or a reflection on their brand or this specific hotel.

My husband experienced an intense itching on his thigh and leg and I killed a small, black brownish pest actually crawling in our bed. We thought nothing of it - it was Hyatt. We thought it was a

flea or tick. It wasn't. At checkout, my husband's pain increased. He pulled over off the side of the road and found a bedbug sucking on his thigh. Incredible! We have photos of the insect and we visited no where except this hotel from the time of contact with the pest. We ate at the hotel restaurant and stayed at the hotel the entire day of our stay. The Hyatt is the point of contact. It appears others' encounters with bed bugs in this hotel corroborate the veracity of our statement.

We later found one crawling on the keypad of our notebook that we used lying in the Hyatt bed. This is awful and very dangerous, as all pests carry disease. We had to discard all our luggage and clothes. It's been a very hefty cost to us. But, we do not want them back with us in California.

We are submitting this report to assist and help anyone who may be considering to visit this location, in effort to save people's lives, time and energy.

It appears this location gives the same form response to each customer and conducts a simple pest test. I am not sure why more is not done at this establishment. This is very scary and costly to their customer who pays money to stay at their establishment and relies on them being diligent in beg bug prevention.

We were in room 322. If your inspection does not yield any results, please fumigate the room. Please turn the heat on very high to save the next guest. Do not allow anyone to stay in that room, as that room has bed bugs.

In any case, we wish would have visited this site prior to our stay and we will notify whoever we can to help them avoid such a horrible experience.

I was in Bethesda for business April 3-6 staying at the Hyatt (room 406)...I noticed a couple of bites after my first night there but never suspected or even considered that it was bed bugs--then I found a bed bug (the first of many) in my bed at home on April 16 after a week or so of trying to figure out the source of my 50+ bites. This has turned our lives upside down as we are facing heat treatment of our whole house this Friday at a cost of over $2500. In addition to the expense, the work i

nvolved in prepping our home for this drastic treatment has been exhausting and overwhelming. The Hyatt seemed like a lovely hotel, but I'm almost certain it was the source of my infestation.

I returned home from a recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda (at this address) March 6-8, 2012 with bed bug bites. I was attending a conference sponsored by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, and stayed at the hotel two nights, March 6 and March 7. I stayed in Room 112, which will obviously now need attention to get rid of the bed bugs that are in this room. As with others who have commented, I do hope that I did not bring the bugs home with me.

Stayed Friday night August 26, 2011 in room 608. Am very worried we brought bed bugs home. My husband and I have several bites that we think may be from bed bugs on our legs, back and arms. Having to wash and clean all clothes and luggage. The thought of the possibility is REALLY freaking me out.
