I stayed here Oct 2nd and 3rd 2013, on the 15th floor.. I did not notice any bites during the stay, but within a couple of days after returning home my right arm and chest area started breaking out and itching like crazy. At first I also thought it a mosquito bite, but more and more every day started showing up. It took over three weeks for them to go away.
I do have pictures to back this up, and I did not stay anywhere else for 10days after that travel, so it had to be at this hotel.
Sorry Westin, but you have a problem!

I stayed here for three nights in July 2013 and noticed bite marks and itching during my stay. This being my first encounter with bed bugs I didn't think anything of it other than them possibly being mosquito bites. However, the itching and bites continued for two weeks after my stay - I unintentionally transported some back to my own bed (visual confirmation). After informing them of this the hotel mentioned they have a "comprehensive pest control strategy" in place to counter the rise of th
e bed bug population. Not much help.
I did learn two things from my stay: 1) to be vigilant of bed bugs at future four-star and lower hotels and 2) never to stay at this hotel again.
