The third night staying in the hotel room, I noticed what looked like pen marks on my sheets. While trying to remember when I had a pen in the bed, I thought back to a recent report I had heard about bed bugs. I immediately turned on my computer and spend an hour becoming an expert on the topic. I also found a TripAdvisor review for this hotel dated 9/9/2010 with reports of being bitten by bed bugs.
I called to the front desk to see if they would come up and take a look. The
employee said she didn't know anything about bed bugs, but agreed to move me to another room. In the second room, I found the same "pen marks" (fecal stains) on the sheets. I then was moved to a third room where I found the fecal stains on the headboard.
The employee was very nice, apologized profusely, and told me the manager would call me in the morning to discuss the situation. Still have not heard from the manager and doubt I will.
