Stayed at Comfort Suites in Tinley Park in October of 2010,as my usual hotel, Hampton Inn, was booked. Right away the hotel didn't seem very clean and I even had them switch my room because of the smell. After the first night I noticed a few red places which I thought looked like mosquito bites. By the time I left I had multiple places on me, as many as three or four bites in a row. I never saw any bugs but I was worried so called ahead to my home and had my husband waiting in the basement for
me with a change of clothes. I tossed my suitcase outside and threw all of my clothes in the dryer on high heat for about 20 minutes (I read this is a good idea for travelers). By the weekend I was at urgent care with huge whelps on me. The doctor said it looked like an allergic reaction and the he said it looked like a reaction to some bug bites. I left a message for the hotel but they never contacted me. I didn't report the hotel but after seeing an article about the registry I thought it may help someone else.
