I stayed at this hotel in room 314 on Wednesday night 10/28/2015. I had a normal stay for the most part but during the day on Thursday (10/29) I started experiencing red itchy bumps randomly all over my body. I didn't want to believe that it could possibly be bed bugs but after a quick internet search it seems that my bumps match perfectly to those of bed bugs. I called the hotel on Friday 10/30 to tell them about my experience. The gentleman on the phone didn't sound surprised which pushed

me to google Doubletree Schaumburg and bed bugs which led me to this site and the other complaints. I have washed every item that was in the hotel with me. I'm mortified that I might bring them into my home. Why are they continuing to book this floor if there is a known problem? I travel frequently for work and this is not what I would expect from this hotel chain.

This is just in regards to the post below, I stated at the DoubleTree on October 19, 2015 through October 22nd, 2015. I've tried emailing the site multiple times and it gets kicked back saying the email is invalid. Just want to clarify the date that I stayed.

I checked into this hotel on 8/19/2015 and stayed in room 309, which is located on the 3rd floor. The first night was fine, no bites. On the 2nd night I woke up at 2:45 am to a itchy bite on my leg and quickly realized I also had 2 more on my back. I got up, searched all over my bed and found a bed bug on the pillow right next to my head. In total, I was bit 10 times that night. I actually caught one of the bugs and put it in a glass. I got up, showered, packed everything up and called down to t

he front desk at around 4:15-4:30 am. I was told to sit tight and when housekeeping got in they would come and move me to a new room. I absolutely would not sit in that room a minute longer so I went down to the lobby and sat until I had to be in a class at 8am. While in the lobby the receptionist came over and said that she was just waiting for the manager to come in and they would speak with me then. My luggage was kept at the front desk and I was told they would get me into a new room asap and comp me. Well I didn't get a new room until 3:30 in the afternoon, the room being on the same floor and their 'comp' was a bag of candy, 2 free drink vouchers and a free breakfast voucher. They also, in passing, told me that the room was already being inspected. I never spoke with a manager or even saw a manager. I am extremely allergic to bug bites and was not offered any type of treatment or help. I think the way it was handle was horrible and I will NOT ever stay in that hotel or a hotel with the Hilton name again.

I stayed at the hotel on December 10, 2013, on the 3rd floor, room 334 I recall. I woke up in the morning, showered, and while getting ready noticed a small bug crawling on the comforter. I tried to pick it up with a piece of toilet paper and blood popped out of the bug. I though then, it might be bed bugs, so I checked my sheets and found another 6 bed bugs crawling around. I immediately called down to the front desk, and someone promptly met me on the 4th floor by the elevator to check me i

nto a new room to finish getting ready. (note, I checked this new room bed and did not find any bugs). After getting ready I packed up to check out. At the front desk the lady said "Our manager has just been up to your room to check on it, he is in the office (5 feet from where she was standing), I will get him". She left, but returned without him stating "Oh, I guess I just need the comp code so you won't be charged, and he gave it to me". The fact that the manager did not come out to personally apologize on behalf of the hotel for the bed bugs was very poor customer service. When I called Hilton Headquarters they stated bed bugs is not a corporate matter, and instead is the problem of the individual hotel, again very bad customer service. I am very dissatisfied with Hilton.

Additionally, our staff has been trained on in what to look for relating to pest control management.

If detected, the treatment includes stripping the entire room and

treating the room with heat. This treatment has been identified as the most effective and safest for humans and the environment. Rooms are inspected multiple times after treatment and before being released for guest use.

Our priority is that you have the best possible hotel stay and we hope that we have your trust that we are doing everything within our power to make that happen.

I stayed at this hotel from July 18th to July 22nd and in a matter of days had 30 bites between my two arms. My arms are currently swollen and I had to switch hotels. Do not stay here until its confirmed that the bugs are gone. Terrible experience!

i've been here since the 18th of july, 2011, and thought i'd been bitten by a mostiquito the first night. after 8 days of staying here, the bites are happening every day. some on my feet, and legs.
after this, i know i will not stay in any hotel. it's just too risky. in order to return to my home, my co-worker advised me to launder anything brought with me on this trip and OVER dry them and the highest possible heat, before bringing the clothes into my home.

ed to stay here, and this is, by far, the worst trip ever. stay away from here if you can!!!!
