Stayed at the Hyatt Place over the holiday weekend, awoke with itching bumps all over my feet and ankles. Upon checking out I notified the management staff, but was unable to make claim until the GM was back in the office. I emailed the GM and sent pics of the bites. He contacted me and said it was probably something I ate.

Checked into Hyatt Place Lombard on Monday March 30 for a two night stay. Actually live in Chicago, but needed to be close to work due to a project. Have stayed here on a couple of previous occasions due to office parties and have never had any issues.
However, this time I spent Monday night and most of Tuesday in the room, both on the bed and lying on the sofa. By Tuesday night, I started to itch. When I looked in the mirror, there were between 30-40 bites on my front and back, some of them
Front desk agreed that they did look like bed bug bites and that they were fresh. I was quickly moved from room 202 to a room on the fourth floor. Hotel also provided thick plastic bags for all clothes that I had been wearing and that had been on the furniture. They also offered to have all my clothes dry cleaned. An offer I declined as I was checking out the next morning. I was also given a card for the general manager, who would be informed and would be expecting me the next day. I also have a large number of pictures showing my bites.
At breakfast I asked to see the GM, but was informed he was busy on a phone call. I came back to the hotel a couple of hours later to check out and again asked to speak to the GM. I know he was available this time, as I had walked passed his office. He also saw me, but chose not to speak with me and referred me to the assistant GM. The AGM said that they could not find any bugs, but they would be calling in their exterminator. He did take my phone numbers, but took no further action.
Before I handed back my keys, I did re-check room 202 and was amazed to see it ready to be rented out again. In fact a group was being shown the room as part of a hotel tour. I did mention to the group that the room had bed bugs, which the tour guide was probably not pleased with.
Upon exiting the hotel, the GM and AGM ignored me, although the front desk staff were extremely helpful.
I will be expecting a response from the Hyatt Place Lombard.

My Aunt stayed here a few days ago and just recently checked out.. She was watching tv on the pull out bed couch and she notice that she kept getting what she though were ant bits on her leg.. Come to find out when she pulled up couch pillow it was an infested couch with bed bugs.. She was in room 220 the manager on duty tried to cover it up.. Best believe we are calling the health department because it was clear to my ant with that many bugs under the pillow couch like that, that this had to be
there for a while... Just nasty..

Not a problem here at all. I was the speaker of a four day conference & have nothing but wonderful things to say about the service, professionalism & hygiene of this hotel.

We have been staying at this hotel on and off on a regular basis since the day it opened. We have never had a bedbug problem, but on one trip, in room 324, we had flea bites on our ankles. Never had any other problems.

Stayed in room 501.
Noticed it had bedbugs after the 3rd night of my 4 night stay.
I have since emailed the manager and he has inspected the room and ensured me that it's been dealt with.
Just a heads up to check your beds when you visit this hotel!
