Stayed at this hotel from june 25 to june 27, 2013. Two days later, rows of bites appeared on my thighs. No other explanation than bed bugs!

We stayed in this hotel October 25th-28th. On the first night I found a brownish bug crawling in the bathroom along the baseboard. I killed it and flushed it down the toilet. I told the front desk the following morning what I had found and said I just wanted to give them a heads up. The woman at the counter looked uncomfortable and her body language told me something was going on. The next morning I woke and went to take a shower and found another bug in the tub. This bug looked exactly like
every picture I had ever seen of a bedbug. I scooped the bug into a glass cup on the counter, took a picture of the bug with my phone and continued to get ready and get my kids ready. I went to the front desk and handed the glass to the front desk and said this is what I found in the shower. The guy at the front desk didn't even look at the bug! He told me when the manager would be in so I returned to the front desk once she was in. The Manager was completely rude...she told me she worked in house keeping for years before becoming a manager and that what I found was definitely not a bedbug. She said they would give me a new room and my one night would be free. There is a lot more to the story on how RUDE and unaccomodating the Manager was. We also received a voicemail on our room phone from the General Manager saying they had an exterminator in who said it was not a bedbug, and that she also has been in the industry for years and it definitely was not a bedbug. Once I returned home to Canada I contacted an exterminator who confirmed the picture I had was definitely a bedbug. We found out the one I found on the first night was an adult bug that lays eggs and bites, and the one I found in the tub was in its 3rd cycle of life where it was biting people. I immediately contacted the hotel and insisted on speaking to the General Manager. The GM was off so I received a call back from the Director of Operations. In speaking to him he asked me to send him the picture of the bug I found. I emailed him the picture and within minutes he was calling me back apologizing and confirming it was in fact a bedbug. He seemed very sincere and assured me he would be taking every step possible to get rid of them.
