We stayed in this hotel October 25th-28th. On the first night I found a brownish bug crawling in the bathroom along the baseboard. I killed it and flushed it down the toilet. I told the front desk the following morning what I had found and said I just wanted to give them a heads up. The woman at the counter looked uncomfortable and her body language told me something was going on. The next morning I woke and went to take a shower and found another bug in the tub. every picture I had ever seen of a bedbug. I scooped the bug into a glass cup on the counter, took a picture of the bug with my phone and continued to get ready and get my kids ready. I went to the front desk and handed the glass to the front desk and said this is what I found in the shower. The guy at the front desk didn't even look at the bug! He told me when the manager would be in so I returned to the front desk once she was in. The Manager was completely rude...she told me she worked in house keeping for years before becoming a manager and that what I found was definitely not a bedbug. She said they would give me a new room and my one night would be free. There is a lot more to the story on how RUDE and unaccomodating the Manager was. We also received a voicemail on our room phone from the General Manager saying they had an exterminator in who said it was not a bedbug, and that she also has been in the industry for years and it definitely was not a bedbug. Once I returned home to Canada I contacted an exterminator who confirmed the picture I had was definitely a bedbug. We found out the one I found on the first night was an adult bug that lays eggs and bites, and the one I found in the tub was in its 3rd cycle of life where it was biting people. I immediately contacted the hotel and insisted on speaking to the General Manager. The GM was off so I received a call back from the Director of Operations. In speaking to him he asked me to send him the picture of the bug I found. I emailed him the picture and within minutes he was calling me back apologizing and confirming it was in fact a bedbug. He seemed very sincere and assured me he would be taking every step possible to get rid of them.
