Lessons learned:
1-Check for bedbugs even if there are no reports or if management hasn't "received any complaints".
2-Look under the actual mattress not just around the edges where you might not see them.
3-Bed bugs are bigger and faster than you would think.
4-Priceline (and probably other companies like it) do not have good, customer friendly policies in place. They will refund your money if you can have the management of the hotel confirm that there are bed bugs, but Priceline was unwilling to help with anything else. While it is understood it isn't there "job" to help us find an different place to stay, customers in good faith rely upon them to provide clean, safe shelter for the time period and price agreed on. Priceline was unwilling to even provide a list of alternative hotels in the area. So in short if you use them and there are bed bugs and you need to change hotels, you are on your own.
