5.5.13 Wonderful and raving reviews for the Washington Plaza Hotel. Absolutely no evidence of beg bugs. I brought bed bug spray just in case, but never had to use it.

The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and accommodating. The staff - front desk, room delivery service, front door attendants, cleaning crew - were exceptionally friendly with over the top service.

I would recommend the Washington Plaza Hotel to everyone staying in the DC area.

I checked in last night 1/3/11 and within 15 minutes of walking into the room I spotted a bedbug crawling across the white sheets. I grabbed the plastic bag in the ice bin and caught the bug. I called the front desk and they offered to give me another room. Then a maid and maintenance worker came to my room and tried to play it off like it wasn't a big deal. The maid took the bug in the bag and would not give it back to me so I could bring it down to the front desk. She insisted that she would s
